NMEI Center has the site, equipment and testing capabilities to meet the testing requirements of products such as complete vehicle systems, on-board electrical and electronic devices, new energy high-voltage components, body parts, interior fittings and molds, etc. We provide one-stop technical services featuring full-capacity, multi-standard and high-level inspection.

The complete electromagnetic disturbance and electromagnetic susceptibility testing system meets the special testing programs of ISO, GB/T and component suppliers as well as the technical requirements of all-series automotive manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Ford, BMW, General Motors, etc. Tests for specific environments such as vibration swing, temperature and humidity, salt spray, rain, impact, shell protection, etc. are provided. New systems of 1MW DC power supply, EFT/B, surge, harmonic and flicker are also installed for new energy automotive components testing. 

I. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test
1. Low voltage components: Radiation emission, Low frequency magnetic Field Emission, Conduction emission-voltage method, Conduction emission-current probe method, Radiation immunity-ALSE method, Radiation immunity-transverse electromagnetic cell method (TEM), Bulk current injection (BCI), Radiation immunity-stripline method, Radiation immunity-portable transmitters method, Low frequency magnetic field immunity, transient conduction immunity along power line, Transient conduction immunity along signal lines, Transient conduction emission, Electrical loads, ESD, Conduction emission-capacitance coupling clamp method, Compensation immunity against ground voltage.

2. New energy high-voltage components such as battery, motor (no-load), electric controller and on-board charger: in addition to the above test itemsit also includes high-voltage conducted emission, voltage dips and short interruptions, EFT, Surge, voltage fluctuation flicker, harmonic current emission, high-voltage electrical performance.

3. Vehicle (Static): Radio disturbance characteristics, Radiated immunity-Portable transmitters, Bulk current injection (BCI), Magnetic field emission, Electric field emission, ESD.

II. Environmental and Reliability Test
1. Climate environment: Temperature, Damp Heat, Mold, Salt Spray, and Protection Test.

2. Mechanical environment: Vibration, Shock, Crash, Fall, Tilt and Swing Test.

III. Material Analysis

Physical Analysis

Our MAT Lab offers to perform a wide variety of general mechanical and technical tests such as tensile, bend, compression, impact and fatigue testing, metallographic examination, thermal analysis, fracture morphology analysis, residual stress analysis, Brinell/ Rockwell/ Vickers hardness test, dimensional inspection and tolerance detection such as coordinate dimension, geometric tolerance, angular degree, conical degree and surface roughness.

Chemical Analysis

Our MAT Lab provides elemental analysis that determines almost all major and trace elements in metallic and nonmetallic materials, as well as analysis of exfoliation corrosion, electrochemical performance and corrosion rate.

IV. Wire Harness and Cable Test

1. Dimensions Measurement: Measurement of thickness and overall dimensions.

2. Mechanical and physical properties: Tensile strength and elongation at break of insulation and sheath, Pressure test at high temperature, Test for resistance to cracking, hot set test.

3. Electrical properties: DC resistance test of conductors, Insulation resistance test, AC voltage test, DC voltage test, Impulse voltage test, Partial discharge test.

4. Weather and environment resistance: Ageing in an air oven, Test at low temperature, Mineral oil immersion test, Temperature and humidity cycling test, Xeon-arc aging test, Ozone resistance test, Ageing in an air/oxygen bomb.

5. Combustion properties: Tests for vertical flame propagation a single insulated wire or cable, Test for vertical flame spread on vertically-mounted bunched wires or cables, Measurement of smoke density of cables burning under defined conditions, Determination of the amount of halogen acid gas, Determination of degree of acidity of gases by measuring pH and conductivity, Determination of low levels of fluorine.

6. Optical and transmission characteristics of optical fibres: Fibre geometry, Attenuation, Chromatic dispersion, Mode field diametre, Cut-off wavelength.

V. Seal Test

Air tightness test and blasting test of pipe fittings. 

VI. Fatigue Test

Tensile fatigue, tensile bending fatigue, high frequency fatigue, load test.
